Conditions

All school pupils over the age of 6, apprentices and people completing voluntary service are eligible.  

• School pupils as well as apprentices and people completing voluntary service can apply to buy TIM – the young season ticket. TIM can be taken out from the 1st day of any month. The contracting partner must be of age. In the case of minors, the contracting partner is the parents or guardians. An up-to-date passport photo must be enclosed with the application. For people over 18 years of age, a school certificate, or a certificate from their employer (apprentices, people completing voluntary service) is required. The application must have been received by the relevant transport company BSAG, BREMERHAVEN BUS or VWG by the 10th day of the preceding month. You can find out how to apply here (only available in German). After you have sent the application, you can receive TIM by post or in person at the customer centre.
• School pupils who were eligible for the previous Pupils’CollectiveTime (SSZT) will automatically receive TIM through their schools after the summer holidays, they don’t have to do anything. In Delmenhorst, the TIM-Ticket can be applied for via the "Fachdienst Schule und Sport" of the city of Delmenhorst (application form here, only available in German). The ticket is valid for a whole year, even during holidays.

Use

TIM is a season ticket that is valid for 12 months. It can be concluded on the 1st of every month. TIM is valid without restrictions on all working days, weekends, public holidays and in all school holidays.

Transferability

TIM is a personal ticket and is valid only for the person to whom it has been registered. It is not transferable; it is not permitted to take other people on the same ticket.

Area of Validity

TIM is valid all day on local public transport buses, trams, and trains within the VBN area. In addition, it is valid on buses in all communities in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district outside the VBN as well as in the transitional fare in the southern Diepholz district. 

Period of Validity

TIM – the young season ticket: TIM – the young season ticket has a minimum term of 12 months. For eligible users under the age of 18, the contract shall be extended for an indefinite period if it is not terminated in time and the eligibility requirements are still met. It shall be extended for people over the age of 18 only with proof of a school certificate or employer’s certificate, which must be presented at the BSAG, BREMERHAVEN BUS or VWG customer centre responsible for you by the 10th day of the preceding month. 

TIM for eligible persons: It is issued automatically by schools after the summer holidays. In Delmenhorst, the TIM-Ticket can be applied for via the "Fachdienst Schule und Sport" of the city of Delmenhorst (application form here, only available in German).

TIM – the young season ticket: costs only EUR 30 per month, EUR 360 per year. The sum of EUR 30 will be debited from your bank account every month. The annual sum can be paid only in cash.
