Ticket for senior citizens
In Delmenhorst men over the age of 63 and women over the age of 60 can purchase a reduced-price Senior Citizens Month Ticket for price category A. The Senior Citizens Month Ticket is non-transferable and does not allow co-passengers. It is valid for Delbus, DB AG, DHE and WEB in tariff zones 709 and 710.

ParkTicket Plus in Bremen
| In Bremen your car park ticket is automatically an VBN ticket. The car park ticket from ticket machines in all the BREPARK car parks and on the Bürgerweide car park can be used by two adults together with two children under the age of 15 on all buses and trams in the inner city area. |

For example, park your car in the Langenstrasse car park and take the tram to the Viertel where you go for a stroll. With the ParkTicket Plus you already have the ticket for public transport.

P+R-Ticket Oldenburg
For journeys from certain marked parking spaces in the city of Oldenburg to the city center and back there are special P+R tickets available as Single Tickets and P+R Month Tickets. They are only accepted by VWG. The cardholder can be accompanied by up to four children under the age of 15 free of charge.

Happy Weekend Ticket (SchönesWochenendeTicket)
The Happy Weekend Ticket is valid for all the transport companies in the VBN network for
- individual travelers,
- groups of up to five persons or
- parents, grandparents, one parent or one grandparent with any number of their own children up to the age of 14 inclusive
The Happy Weekend Ticket is valid on Saturdays or Sundays from 0 h to 3 h of the following day, for any number of journeys. It is not valid for dogs. Here it is the tariff regulations of the relevant transport companies which apply.
The price of the VBN Happy Weekend Ticket is € 30.00 (€ 33.00 as of 1.1.2007). If you purchase it from DB it costs € 30.00 € (€ 33.00 as of 1.1.2007) at a ticket machine and € 32.00 at the counter (€ 35.00 as of 1.1.2007).
With the Happy Weekend Ticket it is not possible to increase the size of the group or substitute people in the group once the journey has commenced. Resale and lending of used tickets free of charge is not allowed.
In order to prevent misuse, please enter your first name and surname in the special box provided before you commence your journey. If several people are traveling together, this only applies to the traveler with the longest journey. The inspector may request you to produce identification.

Lower Saxony Ticket (NiedersachsenTicket)
The Lower Saxony Ticket can also be purchased from the VBN transport companies and is accepted everywhere.
The Lower Saxony Ticket is valid:
- in the federal states of Lower Saxony, Bremen and Hamburg
- from Monday to Friday on a date of validity, from 9.00 h in the morning to 3.00 h at night
- from/to 00:00 h on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
- for up to 5 persons traveling together
- or for parents with any number of their own children up to the age of 14 inclusive
- on the local DB trains (S, RB and RE) and on trains run by EVB, NordWestBahn, metronom and eurobahn
- It is not valid on IC trains (not outside VBN territory either)
In the integrated public transport networks of Bremen (VBN), Hamburg (HVV - both city center zones), Hanover (GVH), Braunschweig (VRB), and South Lower Saxony (VSN) you can also use the other integrated public transport. Hier geht es zur Streckenkarte für das NiedersachsenTicket (pdf).
The Lower Saxony Ticket costs € 26.00 at a DB ticket machine, on the Internet and at the other VBN transport companies, and € 28.00 at the counters of DB Travel Centers and agencies.
For the Lower Saxony Single Ticket you pay € 18 at a DB ticket machine and on the Internet and € 20 at counters.
New as of 1.1.2007:
In order to prevent misuse, travelers are obliged to enter their first name and surname in the special box on the ticket. An inspector may request you to identify yourself with an official ID card containing a photograph. If several persons are traveling together, this obligation is restricted to the traveler with the longest journey. In addition, the tickets also state that the ticket is not transferable. Please enter your full name before you commence your journey. (If there is no name box, there is no obligation and consequently the traveler is not obliged to identify him or herself.)
Note about taking bicycles:
The bicycle ticket (Fahrrad-Ticket) offered by DB, which is available outside VBN territory for a price of € 3.00, is not accepted on the other VBN means of transport. Consequently, on the other VBN means of transport a separate VBN Bike Ticket (VBN-FahrradTicket) has to be purchased.

KombiTicket "Ride and Fly" (Fahren & Fliegen)
The KombiTicket Ride & Fly (Fahren & Fliegen) to Bremen Airport is also valid for travel on VBN means of transport (RegionalExpress, RegionalBahn, trams, regional and local bus services).
Travelers who, for example, have booked air travel with TUI, 1-2-Fly, etc., receive along with their travel documents a "Ride and Fly" slip which, in conjunction with the flight ticket, is valid as a VBN 2nd class ticket to Bremen Airport. Bremen Airport is easy to reach on tram service 6, which stops directly in front of the airport.
This offer also applies to the return journey from Bremen Airport.
