Children Single Ticket (Kinder EinzelTicket)
... may only be used by children under the age of 15. Children have to be able to produce evidence of their age. Accepted evidence of age is a school pass, a rail card (BahnCard) or an official identity card with a photograph.

School strip of 10 tickets (Schüler-10erTicket)
In Bremen and Bremerhaven children and schoolchildren can purchase and use specially reduced school strips of 10 tickets which are only valid on the services of Bremer Straßenbahn AG (BSAG) and "BREMERHAVEN BUS". Students and trainees are not entitled to use them. Schoolchildren from the age of 15 can only use this ticket if they are in possession of a Customer Card with a photograph and the endorsement "SchülerIn" (schoolchild).

Season Ticket for schoolchildren, students and trainees
Schoolchildren, students and trainees can purchase special season tickets which are non-transferable, do not allow co-passengers and are only valid for 2nd class train carriages. Use in 1st class train carriages is not possible even by paying a 1st class surcharge. These season tickets are School 7-Day Tickets, School Month Tickets, School Collective Season Tickets (Schüler-SammelzeitTickets), Company Tickets for trainees and the Term Ticket. These season tickets are available in all the fare categories. They are valid for a particular person. For the School 7-Day Ticket, the School Month Ticket and the School Collective Season Ticket a Customer Card is required containing a photograph. This Customer Card can be obtained from the transport companies by enclosing a certificate from the school, university or training company/body with an application. Trainees can only obtain Company Tickets if the training company or body has concluded a relevant contract with VBN.

School VBN-EXTRA (Schüler-VBN-EXTRA)
Holders of School Month Tickets, School Collective Season Tickets and Company Tickets for trainees can purchase a School VBN-EXTRA ticket for Euro 12.50. This entitles the holder to travel throughout the entire VBN network during the calendar month indicated from Mon. - Fri. as of 14.00 h and the whole day on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Co-passengers are not allowed.

Term Ticket (SemesterTicket)
The Term Ticket is issued together with the registration documents issued by the participating universities and colleges. In conjunction with an official identity card with photograph it is valid for any number of journeys on the means of transport provided by VBN and VEJ (Verkehrsgemeinschaft Ems - Jade). every day of the week. On local trains the Term Ticket is also valid outside the VBN the territory up to Norddeich, Osnabrück, Esens, Wilhelmshaven, Cuxhaven, Hanover and Hamburg Main Station, and on the DB line between Leer and Rheine. It is not valid in IC trains, not even at a monthly extra charge.
VBN Term Ticket is not valid in VBN-Plus pick-up taxis or in the Night Owl.
The night service surcharge for the BSAG night service network and the VBN Night Rider (Nachtschwärmer) is included with the Term Ticket.
