Single tickets (EinzelTicket)
Single tickets are ideal for occasional passengers. They are available in all the fare categories. Also as a strip of 4 tickets. Buy your ticket and change services as often as you want without having to cancel again.
Did you know this:
Within the zone for which your single ticket is valid you can undertake as many journeys as you want in various directions during the first 60 minutes (in Bremerhaven it is 90 minutes). That is, if you have done your shopping or whatever within 60 minutes or 90 minutes respectively, you can also use the ticket for the return journey.

Strip of 4 / 10 tickets (4erTicket / 10erTicket)
With strips of 4 tickets an individual journey is much cheaper. They are available in all the fare categories.

In Bremen and in Bremerhaven there are also strips of 10 tickets available in fare category I (only from BSAG and BREMERHAVEN BUS).

Short Hop Ticket (KurzstreckenTicket)
Ideal for short distances covering up to three stops in Bremen (BSAG but not including express services). Valid in the inner and outer city area of Oldenburg. Also available as a strip of 4 tickets. In Delmenhorst it is available as a CityTicket for the city center area but without changing.

Day Ticket (TagesTicket)
For journeys with friends or the family. Day Tickets are available in all the fare categories. They are valid for any number of journeys until services close down at 3.00 am, but also beyond that time on the night services eligible for the VBN tariff. They are transferable and allow you to take other passengers with you free of charge (see Co-passengers).
The Day Ticket is valid for one adult and up to 2 children up to the age of 15.
The Day Ticket PLUS is valid for 2 adults and up to 4 children up to the age of 15.
Did you know this:
Alternatively, 3 children under the age of 15 can use a Day Ticket without having to be accompanied by adults, or 6 children under 15 can use a Day Ticket PLUS.

Night Ticket (NachtTicket)
For any number of journeys throughout the entire VBN. A super offer for only EUR 7.00 per person. Night supplements for BSAG night services and the Night Rider ticket (Nachtschwärmer) are included in the fare.

7-Day Ticket (7-TageTicket)
The ticket is valid on 7 consecutive days and is available in all the fare categories. For the 7-Day Ticket you require a Customer Card (see Customer Card). The 7-Day Ticket is transferable and allows you to take other passengers with you free of charge (see Co-passengers).

Month Ticket (MonatsTicket)
For people who travel a lot. It is valid for one calendar month and is available in all the fare categories. For the Month Ticket you require a Customer Card (see Customer Card). The Month Ticket is transferable and allows you to take other passengers with you free of charge (see Co-passengers).

Year Ticket (JahresTicket*) (season ticket) and Year Ticket PLUS (JahresTicket PLUS*) NEW from 1.1.2007
For the thrifty. You can travel at particularly low fares if you buy an annual season ticket. You get the 12 Month Tickets approx. 17% cheaper than if you were to purchase them every month. You can embark on the first day of each month. Year Tickets offer you the same transferability advantages as Month Tickets. In addition, with the Year Ticket PLUS you can also travel on buses, trams and trains throughout the whole of VBN land on weekends and public holidays and take advantage of the co-passenger arrangements (see text at the very bottom) from 19:00 h on weekdays or at weekends and on public holidays.
VBN has commissioned three transport companies to deal with Year Ticket customers:
BSAG for customers in Bremen and the surrounding area
BREMERHAVEN BUS for customers in Bremerhaven and the surrounding area *
VWG for customers in the city of Oldenburg and the surrounding area.

365-Day Ticket
For the thrifty in Bremerhaven. The 365-Day Ticket is issued by Verkehrsgesellschaft Bremerhaven AG in the form of the chip card. You can obtain the chip card from the BREMERHAVEN BUS Customer Center at the main station and from the central customer center in the Hanse Carré, signing a contract on the spot or by posting as soon as possible in good time for the start of the contract. VBN-JobTicket
For large customers. Companies, associations, authorities, etc. can purchase special season tickets under a subscription called VBN-JobTicket. The VBN-JobTicket is valid for a particular person so it is not transferable. It allows you to take other passengers with you free of charge (see Co-passengers) and gives you the other advantages of the Year Ticket PLUS (JahresTicket PLUS). You will find more information about the VBN-JobTicket (tariff regulations) here and under Contact.

Customer Card
You require a Customer Card if you want to travel on a 7-Day Ticket, Month Ticket, take out a subscription or purchase a Company Ticket (FirmenTicket). On the Customer Card the zone is entered within which you want to travel. The relevant fare category is also recorded. In the case of a subscription and the Company Ticket you receive the Customer Card automatically.
Did you know this:
In fare categories I, II, A, B and S the tariff zones are entered on the ticket or stored on electronic tickets so you do not require a Customer Card.
DB AG sells season tickets for adults (Month Tickets and 7-Day Tickets on which all the tariff zones you can use are printed. For these season tickets no Customer Cards are required.

Term Ticket (SemesterTicket)
The Term Ticket is issued together with the student registration documents from the participating universities and colleges. In conjunction with an official identity card with photograph it is valid for any number of journeys on the means of transport provided by VBN and VEJ (Verkehrsgemeinschaft Ems - Jade) every day of the week. On local trains the Term Ticket is also valid outside VBN territory up to Norddeich, Osnabrück, Esens, Wilhelmshaven, Cuxhaven, Hanover and Hamburg Main Station, and on the DB line between Leer and Rheine. In IC trains it is only valid within the VBN territory at a monthly extra charge.
The VBN Term Ticket is not valid in VBN pick-up taxis or in the Night Owl.

Co-passengers
Day Ticket (TagesTicket)
Holders of a Day Ticket may be accompanied by up to 2 children under the age of 15 free of charge. Instead of 1 adult and 2 children the Day Ticket can also be used by 3 children. Instead of a child the holder can be accompanied by a dog.
Holders of a Day Ticket PLUS may be accompanied by another adult and up to 4 children under the age of 15. Instead of 2 adults and 4 children the Day Ticket can also be used by 6 children. Instead of a child the holder can be accompanied by a dog.
Season Ticket/Year Ticket PLUS (Zeit-Ticket/JahresTicket PLUS)
The same co-passenger arrangement as for the Day Ticket PLUS, but from Monday to Friday only from 19.00 h, applies to Month Tickets (also Year Ticket PLUS and JobTickets) and 7-Day Tickets.

IC trains.
